Hi, I'm Claire Harris Matson

Thanks for visiting my site! I take it you want to learn more about me? Is that a yes? Yes? Ok,  ok.

I am a writer, improviser, storyteller, comedian and a sometimes actress who was born, raised and still lives in New York (cue Sinatra's New York, New York) CITY.

I create videos with my sketch team, Chico Comedy which can be seen on Huffington Post, College Humor, Funny or Die and more. Chico Comedy was part of the Philly Sketch Fest in November 2013. We were very excited to travel to eat cheesesteaks and also to perform in the festival.

I am also one half of Side Dish Comedy, a sketch comedy group started by two friends who love laughing and eating.

I've taken improv classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade since 2011 and have studied under Christian Capozzoli . I used to produce and host a monthly improv show called Foam Party with my indie improv team, Foam.

I performed regularly in Alyse Kenny's StoryTalks Show at Gotham Comedy Club. My name appeared in one of the event listings which ran in the New York Times which made my parents proud. My 'claim to fame' is that Eddie Brill performed before me in one of the StoryTalks shows, since I went immediately after him, Eddie Brill technically opened for me.

When I'm not practicing or performing comedy, you can find me petting cats that live in bodegas.

If you have additional questions for me including my background, favorite place to get a bloody mary or where the friendliest bodega cats live -please feel free to reach me via email: contactclaireharrismatson@gmail.com
